A Variety of Challenges Towards a Healthier Lifestyle

The National Program for Behavioral Rewards “Behavior Danat” initiative launches exceptional and diverse challenges during the holy month of Ramadan.

Introduction:

The National Program for Behavioral Rewards “Behavior Danat” initiative, has announced several new exceptional and diverse challenges on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan 2024. These challenges will run from February to May 2024.

The announced challenges cover several main pillars, including healthy life, healthy nutrition, and economy of knowledge & empowerment, through various activities to attract followers and encourage them to start a healthy daily routine.

Among the challenges announced by the program are sports challenges falling under the pillar of healthy living, such as the Ramadan Walking Challenge, which aims to improve the participants’ health and encourage them to walk 5,000 steps daily. Upon achieving this goal, participants receive a reward of 50 Danat to motivate them to persevere in physical activity.

Engaging in physical activity during Ramadan is crucial for maintaining health and fitness, especially with lifestyle changes that may occur during this period. Walking helps stimulate blood circulation, improve fitness, enhance digestion, metabolism, and reduce stress and anxiety.

The “Count Your Calorie for a Healthy Life” challenge encourages participants to send before and after weight photos to the program via direct messages on social media accounts, upon successfully reducing their weight and managing their calorie intake during Ramadan. Winners of the challenge receive 1,000 Danat for reducing weight by more than 3 kilograms and 2,000 Danat for reducing weight by more than 5 kilograms, along with valuable prizes.

Other challenges fall under the pillar of economy of knowledge & empowerment (Ramadan quizzes) to increase the community’s knowledge. A question is posted daily on the “Fazaa Behaviors” application throughout Ramadan, where participants receive 50 instant Danat upon answering. If participants answer all questions during Ramadan, they receive 1,500 Danat.

As the Ramadan approaches, the program builds excitement and competition by adding a new touch with tempting prizes. The leaderboard will witness intense competition among participants competing to achieve behavioral goals during the holy month.

Thanks to this approach, winners will receive valuable prizes to boost their enthusiasm and encourage them to exert more effort and perseverance. Participants will compete for top positions on the leaderboard, with the first-place winner receiving a reward of 2,000 Danat, the second-place winner receiving 1,000 Danat, and the third-place winner receiving 500 Danat. Participants from the fourth to the tenth positions will receive a reward of 250 Danat.

The National Program for Behavioral Rewards was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid AlMaktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday, April 17, 2021. It is the first program in behavioral science focusing on core principles: nation, community, and family, aiming to promote positive social behavior and encourage it to become a lifestyle. “Behavior Danat ” rewards participants with Danat (points) upon achieving behavioral goals, which can be exchanged for valuable vouchers in the rewards market within the “Fazaa Behaviors” application.

The Objective of Ramadan Challenges:

The objective of the challenges is to start a healthy lifestyle and motivate individuals to adhere to a healthy diet plan and engage in sports, which positively impacts body health. Ramadan helps individuals control appetite and the number of meals, leading to weight loss. Participants will achieve significant results and a major change in lifestyle and behavior, bidding farewell to Ramadan and welcoming Eid with a new weight and a healthy lifestyle routine. It will also help improve mental health and increase self-confidence.

During the 30 days, healthy Ramadan tips and recipes will be shared for everyone to benefit from throughout the month of Ramadan. All members of the community, citizens, and residents can participate in the challenges of The National Program for Behavioral Rewards by downloading the “Fazaa Behaviors” application.

Participants who adhere to the challenge will also be rewarded with “Eidiyah,” consisting of valuable prizes and instant Danat that can be exchanged for vouchers from the rewards market within The National Program for Behavioral Rewards application, through the program’s partners.
